Sherry A. Marino

OSWEGO – Sherry A. Marino, 83, of Oswego, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Yolanda (D’Amore) Lee.

Sherry graduated from Oswego High School and worked as a secretary for the Oswego City School District for more than 35 years. Sherry loved reading books and sitting outside to enjoy nature.  She also enjoyed gardening and working in the yard.  Sherry was a thoughtful and loving mom, grandmother, and friend.  Spending time with her family and grandchildren was her favorite thing to do, and she always took the time to make others feel special.  She made weekly phone calls to her lifelong friends Josephine Jones, Patricia Tripp, and Pat St. John, and she never missed an opportunity to mail annual birthday and Christmas cards and letters to all of her loved ones.

Sherry is survived by her children, David Elen (late Heather), Bobby Elen (Ellen), Kelly Lavery (Pat), and Gina Marino (Josh Sickler), her grandchildren Emily Marino, Victoria Marino, Stephanie Elen, Jamie Elen, and Reed Mellen, and her great-grandchildren Adeline, Braylin, Carson, Gavin, and Nolan.  She also leaves behind her brother Robert Lee and sisters Ann Miuccio, Linda Lee, and Cecelia Lee, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Anthony Marino, in 2024.

Private Family Services.  Entombment will be held in St. Peter Cemetery.
