Theodore C. Sivers Sr., 83, of Oswego passed away on August 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 6, 1941, in Oswego he was the son of the late Charles T. and Mildred A. Sivers.
Ted attended Oswego Campus School, graduated from Oswego High School, and later graduated from Cornell University. Following college, he enlisted in the National Guard.

In 1964, along with his mother, Ted received his auctioneer’s certification from Reisch’s Auction School in Mason City, Iowa. While getting the auction service off the ground, Ted went to work for Dowd & Harrington as a real estate agent. While there he became an independent insurance agent until he retired at the age of 65.
While pursuing his professional career, Ted, along with his wife Pat, continued to grow the Sivers Auction Service for 52 years. He loved his job and was a well-respected auctioneer. Ted adored his family. He was a loving family man with a gentle soul. Anyone who knew Ted, knew how much his humor lit up a room, right until the end. He was very involved in the local community. He spent over 50 years working with OCO, was a member of the Lions Club, and was on the board of the Ladies Home of Oswego, among other local organizations. He was a lifelong member of Grace Presbyterian until merged to become Faith United Church. He was very instrumental in helping to build the church to what it is today.
