OSWEGO, NY – Anna L. Bosco Geers, born March 21, 1928, a lifelong resident of Oswego, passed away Wednesday March 13, 2013, at St. Luke’s Health Care Facility, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Mary (Mondello) Bosco.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her loving family, and being able to cook and bake for all of them. She was well known for her homemade strawberry shortcakes and Italian cookies.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Edward C. Geers; along with her five children, Edward (Tammy) Geers, Theresa Miller, Betty (Robin) Emond, Robert Geers and Daniel (Lori) Geers; 11 grandchildren, Larry Miller, Heather (Shane) Donath, Elizabeth (Josh) Crannell, Dustin Geers, Theresa Emond, Christopher Emond, Alexys Geers, Alyson Geers, Justin Geers, Michael Geers and Samantha Geers; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Musacchio; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Theresa, Francis, Samuel and Joseph Bosco; her nephew and godson, William Musacchio; and her son-in-law, Lawrence Miller.
Anna’s family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to St. Luke’s A-Wing staff for all of their dedicated care.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
