OSWEGO, NY – Arthur P. (Arkie) Price, 67, a resident of West Fifth Street Road, Oswego, passed away Monday July 29, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Arthur H. and Harriet (Taylor) Price.
Arkie retired from Niagara Mohawk after 40 years of employment.
He was a bus driver for Golden Sun for many years.
He served two terms for the Minetto Highway Department.
Arkie was a longtime volunteer and treasurer for the Minetto Fire Department.
He was a member of the Oswego Elks and a communicant of Grace Lutheran Church where he served as treasurer for more than 30 years.
He enjoyed spending time at his camp at Raquette Lake.
Surviving are a sister, Michelene (Tom Veri) Gary of Oswego; a niece, Wendy Falls; a nephew Boby Gary (Kevin Ott); great-nieces and great-nephews, Zachary Falls and Brendan Falls, Taylor Falls; a cousin Diana Desens.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church.
Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 3-6 p.m. Thursday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 201 E. Sixth St., Oswego.

It is with Great Sadness I read of Arthur’s passing.
I worked with Arthur quite a Few times at Niagara Mohawk/National Grid Hydro Generation/Operations . Arthur was a Kind hearted chap and well liked by his co-workers
