
Oswego – Audrey E. Thompson, 81, a resident of Oswego, passed away Friday, October 28, 2011, at St. Luke Health Services.
She was born in Fulton, NY. She was the daughter of the late Loren and Ethel (Quackenbush) Daniels.
Audrey worked many jobs; as a waitress, as a factory worker at G.E., and at Comstock Foods Co. She was a local hairdresser for many years, until her retirement in 1990.
She enjoyed life, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She loved them all.
She is survived by three sons, Alexander J. (Cheri) Thompson, Lynn D. (Stephanie) Thompson, and Bradford J. (Lori) Thompson, all of Oswego; a sister, Anita F. Pratt of North Carolina; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a special friend, George LaRock; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Murray F. Thompson, in 1990; a grandson, Richard L. (Richie) Thompson in 1974; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca (Becky) Thompson, in 1999; six brothers, Clyde, Ellsworth, Durwood, Lyle, Gordon, and Lloyd; and a sister, Arlene Daniels.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00pm Tuesday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 3:00 to 6:00pm Tuesday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
