Betty (Gardner) Davis, 79, of Scriba, passed away December 28, 2010 at Seneca Hill Manor.

Born in Minetto, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Florence (Kelsey) Gardner.

She worked at Nestle Chocolate in Fulton for 10 years, and co-owned Davis Bros., Inc. in Scriba for more than 46 years.

Mrs. Davis belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a member of the Golden Agers. She was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church.

She enjoyed painting and was an avid sports fan. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Richard, of 59 years, and her children William (Brenda) Davis, Kathy Davis, and Pamela (Kevin) Caraccioli; her grandchildren Joshua Davis, Olivia Davis, Matthew Caraccioli and Jack Caraccioli; her siblings William Gardner, Earl Gardner, Dawn Sexbury, Jean Conzone, Richard Gardner, Pat Maher, and Brian Gardner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters, Dorothy Yamrose, Marie Kimpland and Marion Loughrey.

Funeral services are private.

Interment will be in All Saint’s Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oswego Health, 110 West Sixth Street, Oswego, NY 13126.

    I am sorry for your lose. Betty is a wonderful perosn. I have not had seen you two in a long time but it seems like yesterday at at the Moose when I worked ther. And my buddy Bill (Gardner). I can’t believe how much time has passed but I have never forgot any of you. I have a lot of respect for you and Betty. And Josh, I want you to know that if you ever need someone your brothers, your sister, Tanya and also mysef will always be there for you. As Tanya’s mom and Conor, Nathan, Chloe, and Lincoln’s gram you to me are one of the family and I look forward to seeing you participate as part of our family. You truly are part of this family and are always welcome at Tanyas whenever you would like to stop over. I know we can’t replace your gram but you do have the family you have always known and your new exteneded family.
