OSWEGO, NY – Bonnie R. Sherwood, 66, of Oswego, passed away Friday September 4, 2015, at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Lucille (Tanner) Neild.

She and her husband owned and operated Scriba Lane Redemption Center on 104 East.

Bonnie retired from Tops Supermarket as a front end supervisor.

She enjoyed traveling to Florida, shopping and going to flea markets and she enjoyed playing bunco with her many friends.

Surviving are her husband, Donald F. Sherwood; two daughters, Candy (Richard Greene) Cowan of Liverpool and Donna Gomon, of New Haven; a son, Timothy (Deborah) Sherwood of Camden; two sisters, Barbara Neild Fitzgerald of Oswego and Verna Kelly of Tully; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Terry Shear; a sister, Brenda Church and a brother, Gene Neild.

Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, with a service to follow, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego. missing or outdated ad config

  1. I want to say, your family is in my thoughts and prayers. God bless each and everyone of you. Bonnie was a loving and giving person. She had a kind heart, never mistreated anyone. Their’s no doubt she will be in heaven, with her son Terry Jr. May they rest in peace together. R.I. P. BONNIE

  3. BRENDA & FAMILY…SORRY I COULD NOT MAKE WAKE OR FUNERAL. WITH THE HEAT & HUMIDITY, I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY BREATHING. I WAS SO SAD TO HEAR OF HER PASSING. RIP BONNIE.??
