OSWEGO, NY – Charles N. Czirr, 87, a resident of Oswego, passed away Saturday June 9, 2012, at home.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Charles and Lena (Kraft) Czirr.
He was a US Army veteran, serving from 1943-1946.
Charles worked for more than 40 years as a laborer at Nestles and was a lifetime member of the VFW 5885 and the American Legion post 268.
He was an avid hunter and fisher, and loved the outdoors.
Surviving are his daughter, JoAnn Czirr of Coral Gables, Fla.; his son, William Czirr of Salamanca, NY; three grandchildren, Carl, Matthew and William; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Arthur Czirr, Elsa Czirr and Irene Snyder.
Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery.
