Daniel J. Smith, 64

OSWEGO, NY – Daniel J. Smith, 64, of Oswego, died Tuesday February 17, 2015, at Upstate Medical University Hospital, Syracuse, as a result of injuries that he suffered in an automobile accident.

He was born in Oswego and was the son of Norman H. Smith and the late Esther D. Lockwood Smith.

Mr. Smith was a carpenter and carpet installer for many years.

He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era.

He is survived by his father, Norman H. Smith of Oswego; one son, Gregory D. Smith of Key West, Fla.; one daughter, Anastasia Marie Jones of Longmont, Colo.; three sisters Sharon A. Smith of Oswego, Jeanette (Pat) Whitehouse of Pulaski and Theresa J. Ciappa of Oswego; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Douglas H. Smith.

Funeral services will be private.

There are no calling hours.

Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements are by the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

I only met Danny once, and he was a real Nice Guy, he had done some Carpet installations and Repairs for me On Campus…He was a Professional..May the Lord protect him now and look over Him.   4. Dad- I wish I could be there along with your grandsons and son n’ law so we could say our goodbyes. I am so happy they all at least talked to you on the phone. I remember our last conversation so vividly. It’s something I cherish so deeply. Until we finally meet in heaven so I can finally hug you. I love you Dad. We all do.
