Debra Jean (Snyder) Baum, 53

OSWEGO, NY – Debra Jean (Snyder) Baum, 53, of Oswego passed away Wednesday evening Sept. 4, 2013, at Upstate Medical University Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness.

She was the wife of Robert Baum of Oswego.

She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late George and Kathryn (Wilson) Snyder.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Snyder; and a brother, Thomas Snyder.

Mrs. Baum was a graduate of Oswego schools and had been employed with the Oswego City School District for 27 years as a transportation aide.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by her devoted son, Joshua Baum; two brothers, Dennis (Margaret) Snyder of Oswego and Kevin Snyder of Hannibal; six sisters, Ann (Claude) Moody of Florida, Carol (Fred) Tryon, Marian (Richard) Henderson, Kathleen (Michael) Amedio all of Oswego, Ellen Bevacqua of Fulton and Geraldine (Francis) Falanga of Hannibal; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be Sunday 3-7 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with a service to follow at 7 p.m.

  1. Bob and Josh I am soooo sorry for your loss! I cant believe Debbie is gone! Katie and I were just talking about her and making plans to go down and visit her. I had no idea Debbie would leave us so fast!!! RIP girlfriend! See you on the other side! Watch over Bob and Josh! They are going to need your strength from the other side to get thru this!
