Oswego – Earl H. Gardner, 87, a resident of 2 Kennedy Avenue, died Tuesday in Oswego.

Mr. Gardner was born in Minetto, the son of the late Ross and Florence (Kelsey) Gardner. He was a life resident of the area.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a draftsman with various local companies.

For 10 years, Mr. Gardner served as the 7th ward Alderman in the City of Oswego.

He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, and was an enthusiastic fan of the races at the Oswego Speedway.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Cahill) Gardner of Oswego; 6 children, Gregg, Susan, Michael, Debbie, Margie, and Shelley; 3 brothers, William, Richard, and Brian Gardner; 3 sisters, Dawn Sixbury, Jean Conzone, and Patricia Maher; several grandchildren, including Jared Gardner of Oswego; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Rick Gardner; and 4 siblings, Dorothy Yamrose, Marie Kimpland, Marion Loughrey, and Betty Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00pm Friday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00pm Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
