Edward Barlow, 65

OSWEGO, NY – Edward Barlow, 65, a resident of Simeon Dewitt Apartments, Oswego, passed away Saturday August 24, 2013 at his home.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Cecil and Bertha (Holmes) Barlow.

He was a United State Air Force veteran.

Ed was a member of the local American Legion.

He enjoyed fishing and camping.

Surviving are a daughter, Valerie (Antwan) Hunter of Syracuse; three sons, Patrick Barlow of Florida, Shawn (Tristi Jones) Barlow Oswego and William Barlow of Manlius; three brothers, John (Brenda) Barlow of Oswego, Cecil (Janice) Barlow Oswego and William (Cathy) Barlow of Auburn; a sister, Linda (Richard) Clark of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, Jason Barlow, Elizabeth Barlow, Amari Barlow, Taylor Barlow, Jeremy Switak, Antwan Hunter, Brandon Barlow, Brennah Jones and Alaysia Hunter; significant other, Florence Branshaw and her daughter, Kathryn Donahue and grandchildren, Gabriel and Evelyn Luther; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Val, you were a wonderful daughter and your father lived to see you accomplish so much with your life: beautiful children, a successful marriage, a good job and a total transformation personally.   3. I am so sorry to hear about ED. he was a just a great guy he will be missed and my prayers and deepest sympathy goes out to the whole family. I loved dancing with him and having a lot of fun with ED. He always made me laugh.
