Edward Cagnoli, 77

OSWEGO, NY – Edward Cagnoli, 77, of Minetto, passed away Sunday evening April 19, 2015.

He was born in Brooklyn, the son of the late Duilio and Anna Amodio Cagnoli.

Mr. Cagnoli had been employed at the Nine Mile II power plant, and was a member of Laborers’ Local 214.

He is survived by four daughters, Lisa Mays of Minetto, Lori (Michael) Stinett of Tennessee, Valeri (Douglas) Roshau of Minetto and Kerri Bricker of Minetto; two sons Walter (Judy) Mays of Georgia and Daniel (Kim) Mays of Minetto; one sister, Sophia Torjusen of Long Island; 19 grandchildren, Heather, Christina, Jennifer, Amanda, Holly, T.J., Dustin, Kristen, Christopher, Daniel John, Phillip, Kodie, Brandon, Tacy, Mason, Ashley, Nicole, Alex, Jace; and many great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cagnoli was predeceased by one son, John Mays; and his fiancé, Roberta Kunda.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego, with a service to follow at 3 p.m.

  1. This man showed more caring when I was in the hospital than my own parents did. I loved his stories, booming voice & calm spirit. He was a special man who will be missed & loved by many. Prayers & thoughts are with all his family and his many friends.

  2. Ed, in the short time I knew ya, you were a really great guy. Witty, fun, a great neighbor, friend & I will really miss you.
