Elizabeth Turner, 90

PHOENIX, NY – Bette  Elizabeth Turner, 90, former Phoenix, resident, passed away on Monday September 3, 2012, at Iroquois Nursing Home, Jamesville.

She was born in Syracuse, to her late parents, Eva (Patnod) and Raymond Alley on July 14, 1922.

A graduate of Fayetteville High School, Bette was later employed by Carrier Corp. and General Electric Co.

She was a fine homemaker.

Her late husband of 64 years, Donald H. Turner, died on September 7, 2011.

Bette was a member of the North Central Assembly of God Church, North Syracuse.

Her survivors include her children, Lynda Joy (Bill) Bush of Hastings, Earl R. (Barbara) Turner
of East Syracuse and Holly Jean (David) Parkhurst of Kansas City, Mo.; her sister, Doris Mahney of Madison, Wisc.; her sister-in-law, Betty T. Ruetsch of Fulton; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Allanson-
Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, 431 Main St., with Pastor Eric Hamlin officiating.

Burial will take place at a later date with her husband, Donald, in Phoenix Rural Cemetery.

The Turner family wishes to express a special thanks to Bob, Sheila, and all the staff members of Unit One of the Iroquois nursing facility, for the care of their mother, Bette.
