Mrs. Maxon was predeceased by her husband, Edward L. Maxon; son-in-law, Patrick Sullivan; and by her siblings, Francis (Brud), John (Jack), Roseanne Leroy, and Mary Noreen (Sis) Mayer.

A lifelong resident of Oswego, she was the daughter of Charles and Rose Leroy, and grew up in a close-knit neighborhood on West Fifth Street near Oswego Harbor.

After they married in 1956, Ellen and Ed Maxon made their home on East Oneida Street and later spent happy times at their lakeside camp on Milea Beach.

They enjoyed traveling together, especially to Hawaii and Aruba.

Survivors include her children: Sue Sullivan, Patricia, Edward C. (Heidi Hartwich) and Michael (Georgia) Maxon; and her grandchildren, Myles (Kristen) and Kelsey Maxon, and Patrick and Elizabeth Sullivan.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday the 24, at St. Paul’s Church, Oswego.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
