OSWEGO, NY – Frederick J. Hill, 74, of Oswego, died peacefully at home on Tuesday March 8, 2016.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Frederick and Mildred (Robillard) Hill.

He was a U. S. Army veteran.

He worked locally as a painter.

He was the assistant manager for Bargain Shoes and was also a manger for KFC in Fulton.

Fred enjoyed cooking and gardening.

He is survived by his loving wife; Valerie (Reynolds) Hill; three daughters, Renée (James) Mulcahey, Kathleen (Thomas) Gregory and Melissa (William) Hoefer; two sons; Darren (Nicole) Hill and Sean Hill; one brother; William Hill; and one sister; Barbara Sharkey; seven grandchildren, James (Susan) Mulcahey, Sarah Hoefer, Ryan Hill, Chiane Mulcahey, Eric Hoefer, Connor Mulcahey and Adam Hill; and three great grandchildren, Raelynn, Rileigh and Macen Mulcahey.

At the family’s request there will be no calling hours.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church.
