Gladys E. Konu, 89, a resident of Sun Down Rd. Fulton, passed away May 18, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.
Born in Oswego, She was the daughter of the late Edwin and Millicent (Hinckley) O’Connor.
She worked as a Teacher’s Aide for Oswego County Boces.
Her greatest love was her friends and family.
Surviving are a son, Dennis (Kay) McCollum of Scriba; two grandchildren, Sarah (Pierre) Escaleira and Carrie McCollum; a great-grandson, Aidan Escaleira; and her close friend and traveling companion, Neil Whitton.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Konu.
Funeral Services will be held 10a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Church, Co Rt. 4, Scriba. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7p.m. Friday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
