Helen L. Peashey, 92

OSWEGO, NY – Helen L. Peashey, 92, a former resident of Simeon-Dewitt Apartments in Oswego, joined the angels on Friday Sept. 12, 2014, in The Manor at Seneca Hill.

Helen was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Frederick and Florence (Jarrell) Peashey.

She was a life resident.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an aide and housekeeper at The Ladies Home in Oswego.

She had also worked for the Marathon Paper Co.

She was a former communicant of St. Louis’ Church in Oswego.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Margaret Breen, Mary Miller, Joanne Peashey, Mary Eberling, Helen Lyons, Robert Peashey, Ed Peashey, Tom Peashey and Charles Peashey.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Frederick, Floyd, Joseph and Edward Peashey; and a sister, Florence Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
