OSWEGO, NY – Helen Milam, a resident of Hannibal, Friday May 2, 2014, at home.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Thomas; daughters, Laura (Greg) Warren of Southwest Ranches, Fla., Sharon Furletti of Ovid, NY and Deborah Gilman of Connecticut; grandchildren, Gina Warren, Lance Warren and Julian Gilman.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen.
Helen was a past-exalted ruler of the Oswego Elks Lodge.
Helen’s love for animals made her a mark for every stray cat around. Helen campaigned tirelessly for environmental issues.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
