OSWEGO, NY – Irene P. Fletcher, 83, of Oswego, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday morning May 4, 2016, at St. Luke Health Services, Inc.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorcas (Buckley) Roberson.
She was a homemaker, worked at Schneider’s Jeweler’s for many years, made several trips to the West Coast to visit her daughters and family, loved camping with friends, trips to the casino with her daughters and spending time in the garden at St. Luke Health Services.
She is survived by four daughters, Michele (Samuel) Park, Groveland, Calif., Cynthia (William) MacBlane, Liverpool, NY, Deborah (Robert, deceased) Butler, San Jose, Calif., and Kathleen (Richard Leone, life partner) Russell of New Haven, NY; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Richard C. Fletcher, who passed away in September of 2002.
Calling hours will be held on Monday May 9, from 4-7 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m. at Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
Private burial services will be in Minetto Cemetery.
The family of Irene would like to thank the staff at St. Luke Health Services, Inc., for the wonderful care that was given to her over the past five years.
