Jared A. Syrell, 20, a resident of Oswego, passed away Oct. 2, 2011.
Born in Oswego he was the son of Lisa (Greeney) and Donald Syrell.
Jared was a student at Cayuga Community College. He was a graduate of Oswego High School class of 2009. Jared was a member of the Marching Band and also played guitar. He enjoyed drawing and making jewelry and was a member of the Poetry Club.
Surviving besides his parents, are his brother, Derek Syrell; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Carol and John Greeney and Leo and Jane Syrell.
Calling hours will be held 4-7pm Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
Services will be held 7pm Wednesday, following calling hours.

So sorry for your loss. Jared was a good kid. My son and Jared worked together for the City of Fulton and became good friends. Jared will be greatly missed. So sad.
I am also sorry for your loss my son Kristopher Darling and Jared were friends since elementary school again sorry for your loss Kristopher is also he will be missed dearly by many especially his friends and family.
