John P. Losurdo

John P. Losurdo, 65, and a resident of 2184 County Route 1 in the Town of Scriba, passed away Wednesday at the the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, following a long illness.

He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Joseph P. and Thelma Platt Losurdo.

Mr. Losurdo served in the US Navy for over twenty years as a construction mechanic, working on heavy equipment. He was a life member of VFW Post 2320, and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife Deborah Monge Losurdo, two daughters Susan M. (Kevin) Losurdo-Schute, Christina L. Losurdo, both of Scriba, four brothers Joseph (Peggy) Losurdo of JoLo Shores, Anthony (Linda) Losurdo of Oswego, Michael Losurdo of Scriba, David Losurdo of JoLo Shores, two sisters Catherine (Charles) Tonkin of Oswego Town, Margaret Syrell of Oswego, two grandchildren Kolbi John Schute, Kameron Theodore Schute both of Scriba and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers Peter Losurdo and Theodore M. Losurdo.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 7:00PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Baranski officiating.

Calling hours will be from 4-7PM Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home in Oswego.

    We are very sorry for your loss of a Loved one, another one. I don’t know of a family who has suffered so many losses in such a short period of time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

    A lot of memories. I was in the U.S. NAVAL RESERVE (386-M) when John was in, back in the sixties.” Revelle!! Revelle!! all hands muster on the quarter deck for roll call, Revelle, Revelle.
