OSWEGO, NY – Joseph F. Fragale, 80, a resident of Scriba, passed away Wednesday January 15, 2014, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late James and Margaret (Pelkey) Fragale.
Joseph worked for Cyclotherm as a boilermaker and welder for 20 years and retired as a pipefitter for the Local 73 where he had worked for more than 20 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren at sporting events.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Barbara (Manwaring) Fragale; one daughter, Cheryl Tracz of Oswego; one son, Joseph J. (Shelly) Fragale of Webster; one brother, Richard Fragale of Hannibal; sister-in-law, Beverly Fragale; four grandchildren, Austin Tracz, Emily Fragale, Brandon Tracz and Joseph Fragale; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Michael Fragale; and one sister, Margaret Scharf.
Calling hours will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego, with a service to follow.
