OSWEGO, NY – Karen Ann Pittsley was born May 2, 1949, and died in her home after a long illness, on Friday April 3, 2015, at the age of 65.
Karen spent her life caring for and loving others.
She was devoted to her children, her mother (who passed last summer) and her family.
She took immense pride in her work as a custodian for SUNY Oswego for 20 years before her retirement.
Karen was extremely strong and courageous as she faced her illness and showed a strength that was an inspiration to those around her.
Before her illness, she enjoyed baking, cooking, refurbishing furniture and taking care of her cats.
Karen is survived by her children, Robert (Alycia) Pittsley, William (Kimberly) Pittsley III, Brian (Amber) Getts and Cheryl Beshures; her sister, Janet (Dennis) Rogers; her brother, Johnny (April) Smiedy; her grandchildren, Corey, Jared, William IV, Emma, Madelyn, Nolan and Jacob; numerous nieces and nephews and her former husband and friend, Brian Pittsley.
Memorial services will be held at New Haven Community Alliance Church on April 18 at 10:30 a.m.

I’m am so sorry to hear that and for your loss. Never will forget her great
smile and lots of great memories during our days on Bunner Street with
