Kathy E. Johnson, 64

OSWEGO, NY – Kathy E. Johnson, 64, a resident of St. Luke Apartments in Oswego, passed away Friday December 25, 2015, at Oswego Hospital.

Kathy was born on September 29, 1951, at Oswego Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Robert Gulliver and the late Charlotte (Holliday) Samson, who died in 2014.

She was a life resident of the area.

She was a graduate of Oswego High School, where she was a track and field athlete.

Her life was devoted to her children, especially her grandchildren.

She had an infectious laugh and her smile would light up the room.

Kathy was an avid NASCAR fan; everyone knew who she was cheering for.

She could be seen every day sporting her Tony Stewart jacket, and we can never forget her Tony Stewart hats.

She was an active member of the Oswego Moose Club.

She is survived by four children, two daughters, Melissa Parsons of Ohio and Michele (Brett) Rhoades of Oswego and two sons, Brian (Tonia) Broadwell of Scriba and Jamie Broadwell of Indiana; eight grandchildren, Shawn, Brian, Dallas, Shaniqua, Haley, Kiana, Alexandra and Cooper; three brothers, Kevin Holliday of Oswego, Dale (Christine) Gulliver of Oswego and Robert (Barb) Gulliver of Phoenix, NY; a special friend, Curt Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Gulliver.

Graveside services will be held in the spring, in North Scriba Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
