OSWEGO, NY – Kevin T. Barry, 80, of Oswego, passed away on Sunday afternoon Jan. 19, 2014.
He was born in Oswego, and was the son of the late John R. and Helen O’Neill Barry.
Mr. Barry was a veteran of the US Army and served in the 11th Airborne Division as a paratrooper.
He was a lifetime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 43 (formerly 328).
Mr. Barry was a member of the Oswego Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his five daughters, Diane (Mark) Rachel of Oakland, Calif., Linda Barry of Berkeley, Calif., Marianne (Carl Wilson) Barry of Martinez, Calif., Susan (Bryan) Harz of Pasadena, Md. And Jennifer (Matthew Schliftman) Barry of Baltimore, Md.; four sons, Patrick (Amy) Donahue of Marcellus, NY, James Barry of Oakland, Calif., Joseph (Theresa Clark) Donahue of Oswego and David (Jennifer) Barry of Kyle,Texas; and his former wife, Connie Barry of Oswego; two brothers, William (Jeanette) Barry of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Dennis Barry of Syracuse, NY; two sisters, Mary (Ernest) Bellardini of Oswego and Linda Barry of Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren, Cheyenne Barry, Thea Barry, Shannon Donahue, Abbey Donahue, Jesse Harz and Marley Barry.
He was predeceased by six siblings, Evelyn Hutcheson, John Barry, Nancy Piazza, Joseph Barry, Gerald Barry and Kathleen McDonough.
Funeral services will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 1 p.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Minetto.
Calling hours will be held Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
