OSWEGO, NY – Marian E. King, 88, of Oswego, passed away Sunday Jan. 8, 2012, at Seneca Hill Manor, Volney, NY.
She was born in Ogdensburg, NY, to the late Edward and Florence Kiah.
She married Sept. 3, 1949 in Ogdensburg, NY, to the late Edson James King Sr.
Mrs. King belonged to St. Stephen’s Church where she was a member of the Rosary and
Altar Society.
She was also a member of the Elks Auxiliary.
Surviving are her daughter, Dorene Rowlee of Liverpool, NY; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edson James King Sr.; children, Patricia Elkin and
Edson James King Jr.; and grandchildren, Lisa Van Buren Siler and Christina Elkin.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen’s Church.
Entombment will be in All-Saints Mausoleum at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the mass, at the Nelson
Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St.
