OSWEGO, NY – (Mary) Christine (Stanley) Birdsall, a resident of Oswego, passed away Thursday June 5, 2014, at Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, surrounded by her family.
A native of Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Molinari) Stanley.
She was a 1960 graduate of Oswego Catholic High School and a 1995 graduate of SUNY Oswego, with a degree in Business Administration.
She had previously been employed at the State University College at Oswego and Pan American Airways in NYC.
She later was employed as an abstract searcher in Oswego and in Oswego County’s Planning Department until her retirement in 2013.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Oswego.
She was interested in travel, researching family genealogy, flowers and gardening and highly valued her family, friends and her home.
Surviving, are her husband of 46 years, Michael of Oswego; son, Scott of North Carolina; daughter, Amy of Oswego; grandson, Matthew Phillips of Oswego; sister, Catherine Augliano (Ron Wallace) of Watertown; brothers, Thomas Stanley (Connie), Oviedo of Florida and Michael Stanley (Deborah) of Oswego; two aunts; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, was her brother, John Robert Stanley, in 1964; and brother-in-law, Jack Augliano, in 2000.
There will be no calling hours.
A mass will be said in her honor at St. Joseph’s Church, Oswego, on Monday at 10 a.m.
Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
Nelson funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
