OSWEGO, NY – Mary L. Bucher, 59, of Canton, NY, passed away on Wednesday June 6, 2012.
She was born June 16, 1952, in Olean, NY.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Myra Bucher; as well as her niece, Anna Bucher.
She is survived by her brothers, Thomas (MiJa), Robert (Catherine), Donald (Patricia), John (Mary) and James (Kirsten); also her 10 nephews and one niece.
Mary, a graduate of Oswego Catholic High School class of 1970, earned her bachelor’s degree at SUNY Oswego, a master’s degree from SUNY Albany and another master’s degree from St. Lawrence University.
She worked 35 years as a librarian at SUNY Canton.
She was the secretary for the Canton Chapter of United University Professions.
She enjoyed spending the holidays with her family and traveled the world in her free time.
Funeral will be private.
Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, NY.
Contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Oswego.
