Michael Leigh Bowerman, 67, of Peter Scott Rd., Pennellville, NY, died peacefully at Francis House, Syracuse.
Born in Buffalo, NY to his late parents, Stanleigh Earl and Elsie Agnes (Metz) Bowerman on March 5, 1943. After graduating high school he furthed his studies as a U.S. Navy medic, attached to U.S.M.C. unit. Mike later worked 37 years for United Airlines as a customer service agent in Syracuse. He was a member of National Rifle Association, and an avid sportsman.
Surviving are his loving wife of 25 years, Elizabeth (Swanson) Bowerman; two sons, Michael Bowerman of Toms River, NJ and David Bowerman of Pennellville; two daughters, Julie Szczublewski of Orchard Park, NY and Dona Bowerman of Pennellville; two step-sons Mathew Barron of Lakewood, NY, and Mitchell Barron of Baldwinsville; one step-daughter Michelle Worden of Pennellville; one sister, Marcia Austin of Bethel, ME; nine grandchildren; two nephews.
Calling hours are from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday May 29, with the service at 3 pm at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135. Contributions to Francis House 108 Michaels Dr., Syracuse, NY 13208.
