OSWEGO, NY – Pastor Terry E. Plaugher went to be home with the Lord on Friday morning, March 22, 2013.
Terry was born on July 11, 1951, in Peoria, Ill., the son of the late Paul and Nola Plaugher.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Hannah; and three children, Elizabeth, Tim and Nathan. Also surviving are his two sisters, Hope Rydberg and Sandra Potthoff; and nieces and nephews.
Terry was a graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and received a Masters Degree from Pensacola Christian College.
He had taught at North Love Christian School in Rockford, Ill., and had been administrator of Christian Schools in Brandon, Fla., and Indianapolis, Ind.
He pastored First Baptist Church of Fernwood for 17 years and was currently pastor of Southwest Oswego Baptist Church.
Family and friends may attend visitation at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego, on March 26 from 4-7 p.m.
His home going services will be on March 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Southwest Oswego Baptist Church, 7682 State Route 104, Oswego, with Pastor Dan Smith of Buckley Road Baptist Church officiating.
Spring burial will be in Lewis Grove Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Southwest Oswego Baptist Church.

Met Terry this Summer, Was a Very Nice man . God Bless the Family……
I had him as my 4th grade teacher at NLCS. He played an instrumental part in my salvation. My condolences to his family.
