OSWEGO, NY – Patricia J. Desi, 83, passed away peacefully at her home at the Minetto Senior Housing Complex Wednesday June 26, 2013, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Desi was born in Brooklyn and was the daughter of the late Michael and Grace (Stewart) Fitzpatrick.
She married Joseph Desi in 1952.
Her career was raising their four children.
Mrs. Desi and her family moved to Oswego in 1966.
She made Oswego her home with the exception of relocating to Arizona from 1990-1997.
She was a wonderful and beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Mrs. Desi is survived by her son Michael, of Arizona, three daughters, Christine (Daryl) Lamb of Missouri, Paula Weigelt of Oswego and Patricia (William) Doherty of Arizona; her precious grandchildren: Michael and Joseph Desi, Christopher Turner, Kimberly and Kelsey Lamb, Nicole and Brian Weigelt, Samantha and William Doherty; great-grandchildren: Giovanni and Lucinda Desi; her sisters-in-law, Thea Fitzpatrick, Fal Furneyand Vicky Barnello; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Desi was predeceased by her two brothers, Michael and William Fitzpatrick; and her husband of 45 years, Joseph Desi.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in the fall at a date and time to be announced.
