OSWEGO, NY – Rachel Forsyth, 76, a resident of Palermo, died Wednesday December 16, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Rachel (Sullivan) Reidy.
She worked as a self-employed hairdresser.
Rachel and her husband loved to travel.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Donald Forsyth; a daughter, Linda (Daniel) Murdock Sr. of Oswego; a son, Donald (Gaye Cooper) Forsyth of Oswego; a brother, Neil (Elaine) Reidy of Oswego; a sister, Mary Lou (Jim) Pepper of Maryland; her mother-in-law, B. Elizabeth Forsyth; a granddaughter, Calli (Tyler) Pluff; great-granddaughter, Olivia Pluff; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Danniel C. Murdock Jr.; and siblings, Stephen Reidy, Shirley Miller and Joan Pendergast.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, with a service to follow, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
