Robert Alan Lass Jr., 66

OSWEGO, NY – It is with great sadness and broken hearts to announce the passing of our beloved father and dearest brother Robert Alan Lass Jr. 66 of Baldwinsville.

He was born June 11, 1947, to Robert and Verna Schrader Lass in his beloved home town of Oswego.

Bob graduated from Oswego High School in 1965.

He went on to serve his country in the US Air Force in Germany.

He was an avid softball player, winning many local championships including with The Wheel in 1976.

He had been employed with the US Postal Service for more than 30 years and had received an award for being “The Oldest City Carrier in Baldwinsville Postal History.”

He was the life of the party, whose light shone so bright and burned out to soon. It was an honor to know him.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Verna Schrader Lass.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a daughter, Stephanie (Casey) Wallace; son Brian (Tara) Lass and son Justin Lass; a daughter, Sarah M. Lass; his loving siblings, Bonita (Peter) Vignogna and Jerome (Trish) Lass.

He was the caring “Papa” to grandchildren Mya and Chloe Wallace and Sophia and Tyler Lass.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and the entire Schrader and Lass clans.

“Fare thee well, we love you more than words can tell.”

Funeral services will be Friday 10:30 a.m. from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church.

Calling hours will be held Thursday 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Spring burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
