PHOENIX, NY – Robert Glenn Brown Sr., 87, of Phoenix, NY, former life resident of Center Road Pennellville, passed away at Francis House, Syracuse, NY, on Saturday October 3, 2015.

He was born in the town of Clay to his late parents, Eva (Hawkins) and Robert Gwan Brown on March 7, 1928.

Glenn was a graduate of Phoenix High School.

He was a plumber with the U A Local 267 Plumbers & Steamfitters, Syracuse, retiring in 1990.

Glenn was a member of the Pioneer Horseshoe Club, where he pitched locally, throughout the United States and Canada in world tournament events.

He was inducted into the Horseshoe Hall of Fame in 2001.

He loved baseball and was a Little League coach.

He was an avid bowler as well as a S.U. sports fan.

He also enjoyed camping.

Glenn and his wife, Betty, traveled throughout United States of America, embarking on new adventures.

They wintered together in Mount Dora, Florida.

Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Margaret “Betty” (Smith) Brown; his three daughters, Susan Delano Hall of Brownville, Patricia A. (Carl) Hulett of Phoenix and Sandra (Mark) Keith of Pennellville; his son, Robert “Bob” (JoAnn) Brown of Baldwinsville; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours are on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Allanson-
Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Pastor Carl Chapman officiating.
