OSWEGO, NY – Shirley D. Mills, 80, and a resident of Valley View Drive in the Town of Oswego, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning February 29, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.
Mrs. Mills was born in Savannah, NY, and was the daughter of the late Augustus and Frances Crane Donk.
She was the widow of the late Robert Mills, who died in 1986.
Mrs. Mills was a devoted member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by one daughter, Suzanne (David) Yost of West Chester, Pa.; one son, Gregory (Lisa Holmes-Hayes) Mills of Oswego; one stepson, Robert (Cathryn) Mills Jr. of Webster; two brothers, Franklin Donk of Clyde and Norman Donk of Savannah; one sister, Eldine O’Hern of Syracuse; two grandchildren, Emily Mills and Jared Mills; two step-grandchildren, Autumn and Amber Mills; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Clara Holliday of Oswego.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church.
Calling hours will be Friday 4-7 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Rose Cemetery.
