Stephen W. ‘Steve’ Salvage, 59

Stephen W. “Steve” Salvage, 59, of Gaskin Road, Clay, NY, passed away on Friday May 10, 2013, in University Hospital, Syracuse, NY, due to complications of pneumonia.

He was born to his late mother, Veronica A. (Battles), and his father, Lawrence F. Salvage Sr., on Feb. 2, 1954, in Fulton.

Steve was a graduate of J.C. Birdlebough High School, Phoenix, NY, class of 1972.

He was a construction site supervisor/independent contractor.

Steve had worked for S.U.N.Y. College of Environ mental Forestry; a member of the Roofers Union, Local 195.

He was predeceased by his mother, Veronica A. “Ronnie” Salvage, in 2005; his brother, Lawrence F. “Chip” Salvage Jr., in 2009; his sister-in-law, Chip’s wife, Linda Salvage, in 2005; and Aunt “Mare” White in 1991.

Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Susan (Nixon) Salvage; his son, Stephen L. and his wife, Susie Salvage of Liverpool; his daughter, Jennifer A. and her husband, Ryan Cage of Charlotte, NC; his father Larry and step-mother Genevieve Salvage of Baldwinsville; his sister Christine and her husband, Chopper Tucciarone, and their son Tim, of Baldwinsville; several aunts and uncles; nieces, nephews, cousins.

  1. We are very saddened to see that Steve has passed (we are permanently in Texas now, but keep up with the papers online). Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of you. We all have good memories of times gone by.

  2. My sincere condolences go out to Steve’s wife and family had a great time seeing everyone at the fortieth reunion last year and had great conversation with Steve both nights while we were there. He will be greatly missed by all.
