PHOENIX, NY – Thirza E. North, 98, of Phoenix, NY, passed away on Monday September 10, 2012.
She was born to her late parents, Eva (Stevens) and Claude Pettingill, on November 21, 1913, in Mexico, NY.
She was a graduate of Mexico Academy.
Thirza was a technician for Crouse-Irving Hospital, Syracuse.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold North, in1956; and a son, James A. North.
Surviving are her daughters and son, Carol E. Remington of Phoenix, NY, Eleanor McDermott of Phoenix, Ariz. and Ted M. (Sandra) North of Phoenix, NY; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and cousins.
Services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, NY.
Burial in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut St.
Calling hours will be from noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home, 431 Main St.
