Vanessa Dawn Burns, 15, of St. Rt. 48. Minetto, passed away Friday May 14, 2010 at the Golisano Children’s Hospital at University Hospital, Syracuse.
Born in Clarksville, Tenn, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Burns and Teresa Cilla of Minetto.
Vanessa was a 9th grader at the Oswego High School. She enjoyed playing the Flute and was a member of the Oswego Band. She enjoyed reading and swimming.
Surviving besides her mother are a brother, Joseph D. Burns; two sisters, Kimberli C. Burns and Nicole E. Burns; Paternal grandparents, Richard and Marie Burns; Maternal grandmother, Irene Cilla; godparents Timothy and Christine Burns; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church, Oswego.
