OSWEGO, NY – Veronica “Bonnie” Nelson Mayo, 62, a resident of Oswego, passed away peacefully Saturday March 17, 2012.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Jacqueline (Taber) Nelson.
Bonnie was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Oswego Alliance Church.
She loved genealogy research, cooking and baking, and gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Jessica M. Brosch of Evans Mills, NY and Eliza (Brian) St. Onge of Oswego; one son, Silas E. Mayo of Oswego; three brothers, Robert J. (Susan) Nelson Jr. of Victor, NY, Timothy (Kim) Nelson of North Carolina and Andrew Nelson of Oswego; four sisters, Linda (Donald Mather) Babcock of Australia, Roberta Bryant of Tennessee, Sandra A. Nelson of Oswego and Rebecca (Chris) Batchelor of Oswego; six grandchildren, Bentley Brosch, Sophia Brosch, Addyson St. Onge, Reiley Mayo, Grace St. Onge and Chase Mayo; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson Funeral Home., 11 W. Albany St.
Calling hours will be held 3-5 p.m., prior to the service.
Burial will be Peck’s Cemetery, and will be private.
