Victor Orlando Woolson, 19

OSWEGO, NY – Victor Orlando Woolson, 19, of County Route 29, Oswego, died Friday August 10, 2012.

Born in Syracuse, he was the son of George and Teresa (Knopp) Woolson.

He graduated Mexico High School in 2011 with an Advanced Regents Diploma.

He was a 2009 graduate of the Leadership Oswego County Youth Program and a four-year member of the Marine Corp. Junior ROTC Program.

He enjoyed video games, chess, music, Karaoke with his family, War Hammer, ping-pong, movies, camping, four wheeling, and hanging out with his friends and family.

Surviving aside from his parents, are his two sisters, Angela Coville of Cortland and Sarah (Barry) Gauger of Oswego; his paternal grandparents, Vern and Kay Woolson; aunts, uncles, cousins; two nieces, Destiny Johnson and Kimberly Hilton; three nephews, Mason and Dominic Coville and Kristopher Gauger; and his best friend Zachary Sawyer of New Haven.

He was predeceased by his beloved maternal grandmother, Helen F. Knopp.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held 1-6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

  2. So very sorry for your loss,I remember having conversations w/ Victor at karaoke a few times and i found him to be a very Compassionate,Interesting and Bright young Man. He surely will be missed. R.I.P Friend+

Wow , I’m just finding out; no one ever told me this happened think that hurts the most:( you and Zachary were both good friends of mine since literally kindergarten; I’m sorry we never got to hang out that day we planned:/ I really regret it now, your really missed Victor:/ I wish I knew sooner I would have been at your funeral and calling hours:'( RIP <3
