OSWEGO, NY – William R. Gummer, 61, a resident of Oswego, passed away Sunday October 21, 2012, at Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse.
He was born in Auburn and was the son of the late Robert E. and Elizabeth A. Hoffman Gummer.
Mr. Gummer was the husband of Mary Rice Gummer.
Mr. Gummer was employed for many years as a bus driver with CENTRO Bus Co. and had previously worked for Golden Sun Bus Service.
He is survived by three daughters, Alice Parrow of Oswego, Elsie Marquina of Scriba and Ettie Mae “Peachy” Derousie of Mexico; four sons, Willard Brummett, Leon Brummett, John Brummett all of Oswego and Tristano Condemi of Oswego; two brothers, Mark Gummer of Baldwinsville and Richard Gummer of California; one sister, Barbara Brown of Conquest; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday 10 a.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Thursday 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
