Albert Reitz, 87

FULTON, NY – Albert Reitz, 87, of Fulton, died Tuesday morning December 25, 2012,  at Oswego Hospital, after a short illness.

Mr. Reitz was born in Oswego, the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Cordean) Reitz.

Mr. Reitz retired from the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local #73, where he worked at the steam station and three nuclear power plants.

He served in the United States Army during World War II and he enjoyed bowling.

Mr. Reitz was predeceased by his wife, Elaine V. Reitz, in 1997; his brother, James Reitz; and sisters, Betty Vincent, Mary Margaret Bellinger and Rose Nelson.

Mr. Reitz is survived by his children, Judith G. Reitz of Fulton, Diane E. (David) Litchison-Kuzio of Fulton, Thomas (Ann) Reitz of Oswego, Timothy (Susan) Reitz of Oswego, Rebecca A. Reitz of Massachusetts and Regina M. (Walter Glusczyk) Reitz of Fulton; his sisters, Shirley (Jim) Omundsen and Patricia (Bill) Harrington both of Oswego; brothers, Nick (Nancy) Reitz of Oswego and Anthony (Dorothy) Reitz of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Amy, Jeffrey, Teresa, Jon, Matthew and Nicole; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 11 a.m. from the Sugar Funeral Home, Fulton, and 11:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Spring burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be Saturday prior to the service from 9 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home, 224 W. Second. St. S., Fulton.
