OSWEGO, NY – Alice M. Ketcham, 93, of Oswego, died Saturday August 19, 2017, in Morningstar Care Center.
Mrs. Ketcham was born in Fulton, the daughter of the late Balz and Elizabeth (Schiesser) Schwitter.
Before retiring, she worked for more than 40 years side by side with her husband at Sealright Co., Fulton.
Mrs. Ketcham enjoyed tending to her beautiful flower garden, which were loved by all who saw it.
She was predeceased by her husband, James I. Ketcham, in 2004; and her siblings, Francis, David, Robert, Janet, Barbara, Mary and Carl.
She is survived by her son, Gregory (Martha) Ketcham of Fayetteville; granddaughters, Sarah and Hannah; stepchildren, Jean (Clint) Anderson of Tennessee, Richard (Vonda) Ketcham of Oswego, Donald F. Ketcham of Hannibal, Ronald (Carolyn) Ketcham of Florida, Beverly (Walter) Roach of Fulton, Garry (Barbara) Ketcham of Hannibal and Diana Romano of Fulton.
She is also survived by her siblings, Katherine Creighton of Fulton, Mildred Durfee of Chittenango, James (Shirley) Schwitter of Oswego, Doris Schwitter of Oswego and John (Carole) Schwitter of Hannibal; and several step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday 5:30 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home.
Private burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be conducted Thursday 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth St., Oswego, NY 13126.
