Anna E. Rogers, 81

OSWEGO, NY – Anna E. Rogers, 81, of Oswego, died Sunday morning April 6, 2014, at Morningstar nursing home.

Mrs. Rogers was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Clarence and Kathleen (Stetts) Roland.

She was a former employee of Fitzgibbons Boiler Works, Oswego, and a proofreader for the Palladium Times, Oswego.

Mrs. Rogers was a past member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Oswego, and she is a communicant of St. Peter’s Church Oswego.

Mrs. Rogers was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gilbert Rogers of Oswego; and their children Diane (John) Sawyer of Oswego and Russell Rogers of Oswego; four grandchildren, Noah and Ian Rogers, and Amanda and Gregory Sawyer; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rogers was predeceased by her son, Alan Rogers, in 1977; and her siblings, Donald, George, Arthur and Rose Roland, and Dorothy Gillen, and Barbara Lazzaro.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, East Albany Street, Oswego, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. George Wurz.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
