Anthony “Tony” Borsetti, 58, of Garden Drive, Oswego died Tuesday at his home from complication of the heart.

Tony was born in Bronx, NY and moved to Oswego in 2005. He owned and operated the East Side Barbershop in Oswego with nieces and nephew. Tony was known by many of his patrons as Uncle Tony.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Vickie Borsetti of Oswego, two daughters Jennifer Cirello of Oswego, and Margie Aprea of Florida, one brother Paul Borsetti of Oswego, five grandchildren George, Courtney, John, Brianna, and Justin.

Funeral services will be Saturday 6:00 pm at the River of Life Church, 129 City Line Road, Oswego. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego, NY.

  1. I can’t express enough what Anthony was to me when I was real young and going out to Long Island to see his parents who were my great Aunt and Uncle. Funny how time goes by and people move away but I always think about Anthony and Paulie. I still have my copy of Sgt Peppers by the Beatles that he gave me on CD when I first got a CD player. I listened to that album 100 times after he gave it to me. (now probably a couple of thousand)
    Part of me is Anthony and I love it…
    God bless you all and maybe one day we can all meet each other and have a party on his behalf… Give Paulie a hug from me..
