Anthony F. River, 81; of Phoenix died Wednesday at his home surrounded by his family after a long illness.
He was born to the late John and Christina River in Staten Island, NY and he has been a resident of Phoenix, NY for 20 years. Mr. River was a United States Veteran having served in the Army Air Forces stationed in Alaska. He owned and operated Anthony River, Inc., Syracuse, NY.
Mr. River was pre-deceased by his first wife Bonnie River in 1982 and his sister Florence Bowden.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Spaulding Condon of Phoenix, step-mother Cecilia River of NJ, 5 children: Christina (Tak) Shigihara of CA, Anthony (Terry) River of Syracuse, Kenneth (Kathy) River of Phoenix, Michael (Rhonda) Condon of Fulton, Kathleen (Scott) Reich of Marietta, NY and 3 brothers: John (Joan) Rivers of NJ, Steven Rivers of NJ, Raymond Rivers of NJ, 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, June 1st at 5:00 PM at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
