OSWEGO, NY – Barbara Marie Scruton, 84, of Hannibal, died Monday November 17, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Scruton was born in Sterling, the daughter of the late John and Pearl (Hart) Matthews.
She retired from General Electric, Syracuse, after years of service.
Mrs. Scruton was predeceased by her husband Charles “Bill” Scruton in 1998.
She is survived by her children: Peggy (Michael) Pisa of Oswego, Steven (Anne) Scruton of Pennellville, Alan (Stephanie) Scruton of South Carolina, and Kevin (Brenda Taylor) Scruton of Hannibal; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. Fourth. St., Oswego.
