Betty Laurent, 86, of Fulton died Friday at Michaud Nursing Home after a long illness.
Mrs. Laurent was born in Oswego and has been a resident of Fulton for most of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She was a Life member of the Oswego VFW Post #2320 Ladies Auxiliary, and an avid bowler. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Laurent Sr. in 1988.
Mrs. Laurent is survived by her children Barbara (Tom) Trepasso of Fulton, Jeanette (Dan) Lyons of Oswego, Deborah (Brian) Cannizo of NC, Cynthia Ballard of Hannibal, David (Teresa) Carosella of TX, Barry (Susan) Laurent of TX, fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:00 a.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home, and 9:30a.m in Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home 224 West Second Street S. Fulton.
