Beverly A. Wilcox, 73

FULTON, NY – Beverly A. Wilcox, 73, of Fulton, died on Friday August 15, 2014, at Oswego Hospital after a long illness.

She was born to the late Harold and Bernadine (Hutton) Boyce.

Mrs. Wilcox has been a lifetime resident of Fulton.

She retired after 38 years of employment in 2003 from Nestles, Co, Fulton.

After retirement Mrs. Wilcox began working at Wal-Mart, Fulton, as a greeter.

She was a member of the Fulton Breast Cancer Caring and Sharing Group, and she enjoyed her “Monthly Ladies Luncheon.”

Mrs. Wilcox loved to garden and bake for her family especially for her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, John David Halstead Jr., in 2013.

Mrs. Wilcox is survived by her husband of 33 years, Donald Wilcox Sr. of Fulton; daughters: Heather R. (Ronald I. Strickler) Halstead of New Jersey and Lorrie E. Halstead Anderson of Baldwinsville, NY; step-son, Donald Wilcox Jr. of Fulton; sister, Bonnie Thornton of Florida; three grandchildren: Shayne M. Anderson, Hannah E. Halstead and John David Halstead III; and two nephews: Craig Emmons of Pennsylvania and Marc Emmons of Washington.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, with Pastor Philip Farley of the Family Worship Center, Clay, NY, officiating.

Burial will be held in Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal, NY.

  2. Laurie and Family, I am so sorry to hear the news on Bev’s passing. I am very saddened to hear. She was a wonderful woman even when she was ill. My heart hurts and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. We truly lost a wonderful person and she earned her angel wings 1000 times over!
